How to apply for online banking
To be activated for online banking, go to our homepage at www.rondoutbank.com and click on the "First Time Login link". There you will be guided through the enrollment process which is completed in a matter of minutes.
Online banking security - Multi-Factor authentication
At Rondout Savings Bank, online security is an important part of the commitment we made to our customers to keep your accounts and personal information safe. For that reason we recently added an additional layer of security to our online banking products called two-factor or multi-factor authentication. It is designed to keep your information secure while at the same time protect you from fraud and identity theft. It also allows Rondout Savings Bank to verify you as our customer and allows you to verify you are banking with us.
Logging in for the first time
Once you have been issued your temporary log on information, follow these simple steps below:
First time access
- Enter your temporary initial Access ID in the space provided
- Click login
- Enter your temporary initial password
- Click Submit
- Change your *Access ID and password
- *You can change your Access ID during the initial login process. After that you must call us at (845)331-0073 to change your Access ID. The password can be changed at any time under the options button.
- Click submit
- Provide your current e-mail address (if needed)
- Enter a pass phrase for the randomly selected authentication image
- Provide answers for 3 challenge questions
- Select whether you are logging in with your personal computer, or a public computer. Only register personal computers like your home or office computer. Never register a computer that is available for public use.
- Click submit
Once you have enrolled for multi-factor authentication, follow these simple steps to log in.
- Enter your Access ID in the space provided
- Click login
- Your authentication image & pass phrase are displayed. Verify they are correct before entering your password. If they are not logoff immediately and contact the bank at (845) 331-0073
- If the authentication image and pass phrase are correct enter your password
- Click submit
